Wasn't just you - impressively tricky puzzle today. Seems like a lot of folks are heading for Google on this one.

Like the "Band-Aid" rating system, by the way (or if you prefer, the "unbranded sterile bandage" system).

howard,

glad y' stopped by...

do ya think they send up some devilishly tough puzzles just when we're at our collective weakness, what with all the holiday "cheer" being consumed?!

i think i might be down to about eleven brains cells left functioning!

stop by again an' check on me, 'kay?

c'mon! An ANAGRAM? I love xwords, but past that my puzzle abilities come to a screeching halt.

kalisah,

i don't know what was worse... the anagram, the arcane reference, or the spelling of the name!? i am one of those who have not subjected himself to repeated viewings of the whole s.w. saga, but i think i recall him being referred to as "... cala-REESE-ian".

anyway it is best to repeat after me... "i will not let that lousy [insert fitting term of choice here] throw me and ruin my day... i will not let that lousy friggin' anagram throw me and ruin my day... i will not... oh, yes i will, but i'll probably get over it some day... but the scar will always be there to remind me...

[reapplying cocoa butter and yet another sterile bandage strip]

keep on keepin' on, kiddo...

Maybe they are messing with us, who knows?
Wait until you see the Saturday offering... get a box of bandages ready.

Hang in there, and keep on puzzling. Don't forget, these things are for fun ;).
