Targets of those catching some rays? Natural wave catcher? Long-armed redheads? And WTF is "animuses?" My head hurts.

kalisah,

while i might characterize 'hate' as being too strong a word for my sentiment... i was perturbed that it took so darn long to finish!

kalisah,

i'm glad you elaborated. oddly enough the 'manta' ray clue didn't bother me... the 'oute ear' one made me cuss a bit under my breath... 'orangs' was my first fill-in! and 'animises' as you will see later, is one for the "damn brand new t' me" category!

keep on keepin' on

This is the first one I gave up on in a while. I had "trim" for 1D, which messed up that whole corner, and most of the SE corner defeated me.

Everything ended up making perfect sense, though, except "elegit." That's just not fair.

vladimir,

glad y' stopped by...

i hear on that... i was inclined t' throw in the towel myself... several times... i just walked away and came back to it... walked away and came back... walked away and came back, and finally finished it. i really think it was the second hardest puzzle this year!

(i didn't particularly care for 'eligit' either... too narrow-focused for my liking)
