I'll never spoil a puzzle for anyone, but don't say you weren't warned ;). Glad you made it out with your mind still coherent enough to enjoy the Sunday puzzle.

Yup, this was off the charts on the bandage scale.

howard and ellen (and anyone els who happens t' drop by),

way back in the dark days before the internet, when i thought i was the only one who rassled with these thangs, it was tougher to handle. comiseration goes a long way, doesn't it?!

as i said the other day (it was part of my father's favorite toast during these holidays:)

it is my strongest desire that we may all experience unconditional love, meaningful peace, enduring hope and unbounded blessings during this season and throughout the coming year!

here's t' "seein'" you all again real soon...

I got through most of it, with some Google help certainly, but I refuse to believe that Mr. Klahn knew the word "ochlocracy" before he needed it for this puzzle. Peripeteia? Yes. Argali? Ok. Golconda? Maybe. But ochlocracy? No way.

vlad,

the real difficult stretch here, for me, is not in seeing ONE of those words in a puzzle... but ALL of them together... oh, and then just for giggles, throw in a variant form of socrates wife "xantHippe"...

it's just not right on a lotta levels!
